2 months
Ok then.. here we are at 2 months. The wee boy is growing like crazy, Elliott is a pro at goin potty in the toilet ONLY now (YEA!!!), school for me is just around the corner.. and Ian, like always, is working hard for the money.
Sam is well past the RSV, but not quite out of the dark with being a sicky pants. We are still dealing with his 'congestion' on a daily basis. Some days are not so bad, some cause some real panic around here, especially at night. .. when he has episodes of apnea.... which is leading to some very tired parents. 4 hours of sleep a night (if we are lucky) just isnt good after a time. It is really starting to wear us down. We started him on some medication to treat GERD (acid reflux) but so far I havent seen any improvement. He is not a typical GERD baby. No vomiting or extreme fussiness. I have been doing a crapload of research and finding he is more the 'silent type'. His symptoms also point to esophagitis, which is caused by the reflux. I really hope he gets on the mend soon. I am not sure I am loving that he is on this medication, or how helpful it is going to be. So, I am stepping up his treatment and taking him to see a chiropractor on Thursday. I fully believe they will be able to help him. Because of how he presented at birth with his arm up by his head, I am noticing some issues with that particular arm, and he refuses to turn his head in that direction much. He also gets instantly congested if lying on that side... We will see what happens, but I am almost sure within a month he will be better and off the meds. I am willing to try almost anything now anyways.. i am so tired of the fear that he is going to stop breathing all together at night........
Besides that.. um, I colored my hair green. Its awesome. It should actually be more of a turquoise, but.... I am super anxious to start school in April. Excited to start up again, but scared that, on top of everything going on with Sam, I am gonna crash and burn from the stress and lack of sleep.
Elliott, my BIG boy... is still quite happy with being a big brother. He is ready for spring time, as is everyone. It is high time we got out of this place and got some sun and fresh air! We are hoping to get him a bike soon. ... He will probably go back to daycare in the next few weeks. I know he isnt very happy about it, but unfortunetly he has to deal. He is in the preschool there now. I hope he has a better time going back, and I REALLY hope he doesnt come back with some awesome sicky germs to infect us all again.... seriously. How hard is it to just make kids wash their damn hands!?
